Congratulations La Furia Roja!

I felt so happy for Cesc, I think my chest could burst!

I was VERY gutted when he got substituted, wouldn't you when you see that crestfallen look? I thought he was marked out of the match but he created space for his other midfielders to exploit. Even then he did made a few defence splitting passes...

So, I got really pissed cos I wanted to see more goals, that are Cesc's inspired ones. I believe he could have made that impact. Alas, that was not to happen.

I'm just glad Spain won. I wouldn't want another Cesc's crying episode and they truly deserved it this time, Spain has grown strength to strength. Kudos to their defence for working as a solid unit as the competition progresses. This has been one of the best euro cup finals.

As for Cesc, this has been his 2nd major cup tournament for his country and at 21 years of age. I believe there's more to go :)

Sometimes, we forgot how young he is, cos he seems to be playing for Arsenal since forever. And that matured displays doesn't help either. This morning as my entire family witnessed the Spain's celebration, as we watch Cesc prancing about like a human jumping bean. My mom remarked that he is still a boy despite all that jazz.

Lastly,
Happy 24th Birthday Hey Nostradamus!
And wow, what a celebration Spain has gotten for you as a present. I believe it's their way of repaying for sticking your neck out prior to the tournament predicting them as winners.
I've read what happened over there, I hope it clears out soon and the truth prevails.
Speak to you soon!

It ain't over...

2 obstacles coming up, Cesc! Be good!

Anyway, I'm back from Langkawi... had a splendid time, although I still prefer my trip to Rawa Island. Shopping and beach holiday MIXED doesn't really suit me. Anyone who has plans to visit Langkawi should ride on the Cable Car to Mt. Mat Cincang, it has a suspension bridge at the summit where you can view the coastal waters and the green jungle lush... Such a breathtaking awesome view ok! (Google it!) Beware: Definitely not for those fear of heights!

And I LOVE Waterfalls.. Love them! Love them! Love them!
The refreshing feeling submerged in icy cold waters, worth the perilous hike up to the waterfalls.

The rest of the days spent chocolate shopping, jacuzzing, jetskiing and soaking in the sun, sand and the sea. Strange, didn't get to sleep much during this holiday hmmm...

p/s: Yeap. gotten soooo tanned yet again. Another 4 mths before returning to original skin colour. :(

Brighter, Whiter Teeth!

And so, a continuation from yesterday's dental appointment episode. The Dad decided he wants to TRY the dentist recommended by my fren's mom's fren, cos she's the dental nurse. As expected, he TRIED to ask mom to follow him into the consultation room but mom was by then into her makcik chat with the dental nurse. heh.

The aftermath...
He was very happy with the dentist, the dentist did scaling, polishing and cleaning. And the pain is GONE he says. And the best part it only cost him $50!! And the bestest part is he has $200 dental benefit...Pain Gone and FREE!!

Then, he told my mom. If he had known, he would use up the $200 dental benefits every year.
I think this is his bestest dentist encounter by far, so he's rather keen with the whole oral hygiene thingamajig. My dear old man is so happy, you'll be thinking, he's grown a whole new set of teeth.

Remember, oral hygiene is important, please save your teeth before they decide to run away. :)

White Teeth.

The Dad has been complaining of toothache over the weekend and yesterday, proved to be the last straw of pain he could endure, made my mom travel down to Bukit Batok to accompany him to the dentist. Unfortunately, the dentist he's been to, had closed down.

This morning, he was wondering which dental clinic he should TRY. The thing is most of the dentists we've seen in the past have since migrated or passed away. And my dad is not the bravest person when it comes to dentist. I sure hope, the dentist let my mom to be in the same room. Hee hee hee.

By freak of nature, I love visiting the dentist. :D

Post Group D matches.

I am happy Cesc broke his scoring duck!

If Spain did not going to do anything to their defence department after this win, a pricey punishment beckons, especially if they are up against a more potent strikeforce.
Marchena was a walking catastrophe waiting to happen, he almost never win any of his tackles. So much for being highly rated not too long ago and apparently Ivan Helguera presence kept him off the starting place.

I still hates Xavi cos he loves to go round and round with the ball and thinks he's the football messiah when there's like 3-4 russians surrounding him and kicking his legs and ignoring a team mate in a good position. Why can't he just pass and get it over and done with????? Only EPL playing spaniards seems to release the ball early enough before getting swarmed.

As for Greece and Sweden, I was too sleepy to stay awake.

Anyway, on non footballing news, I've rode on the SINGAPORE FLYER.. FOR FREE..during working hours! yeahooo.. altho' the ride was nothing to shout about, I think the MOST EXCITING PARTS are when we are at the top cos the view is great (in some areas) and also when we try to get on the capsule, you gotta walk quickly as the flyer never stops. heh.

I went for a light shopping with Kakak Yanni after that and got ourselves "SISTER'S RING".. ahahahah... and I coerced her into buying a pair of Superman specs but she looks COOL with it. MACAM BUDDY HOLLY! ;)

Euro 2008 - The Group of Death

The first games from the group of death have been played.

And France was wayyyyyy atrocious. I felt France has more talented players than say having WILLY BLOODY SAGNOL as a right back but I rather keep our Bacary Sagna where he will be safe for next season. So many promises and yet, so disappointing. Domenech's team selection does not do justice to talents like Benzema and Nasri...What is that 'predator' like thing, that was seen on the pitch yesterday?

As for the later match, I watched bits of it. Boy, was I impressed. 3-0. I caught Netherlands match in their latest friendly prior to the Euro, was it against Ecuador? And I thought, quite a cohesive unit and pretty good but did not expect them to give the Italians a drubbing like that.

We are left with Grp D to play, but I kinda fancy Germany to win this year's Euro, having seen the matches so far. I have rendered most matches a borefest when my brother pointed out that it is the price to pay for being a goonerette. Having seen the kind string of passes Arsenal produced.

Anyway, Cesc is said to miss tomorrow morning's game. And I don't understand the logic of this, you gave that boy so much hope, gave him the ultimate playmaker number and then benched him? Ok good, just make sure he'll be fit for Arsenal. Everywhere else, ppl are on Xavi and Cesc are similar players, Xavi prolly a shade better cos he has more goalscoring tendencies.
I, however BLARDEY DISAGREE, no doubt Xavi can also provide that KILLER PASS, but Cesc could provide it wayyyyy earlier than Xavi, wayyyyy earlier before it got detected by the opposition. Isn't that why he was applaud for, his footballing VISION??.. bladey Aragones!

Euro 2008 - First 2 days.

It was quite a snoozefest... so far.

I had pledged my allegiance to the Swiss and will continue to do so, altho' it can be rather painful watching them for the first game ( I fell asleep in the first 15 mins, so much for my anticipation!). Here's hoping they do better in the upcoming games. The Portugal vs Turkey game was marginally better but watching Ronaldo and co. are tad too annoying for me.

I was anticipating Croatia's game to witness the exciting Luka Modric, I mean the bloke must have some class for my bro to curse the day he join the Spurz. Alas, it was quite a boring match as well, so I retreated to bed by half time. Nope, not even the pretty cute Kranjcar could be its saving grace.

Though this morning Germany vs Poland game. If only, we could have Podolski for Arsenal.
I want a blardey goal poacher! Gomez looks a bit lost in the international scene. And my love for Phillip Lahm is renewed. hahaha. I thought Germany lacks fluidity in their passing for some reason but improved when Schweinsteiger was brought on. I foresee them improving in the next matches.

Anyway, Hitzelsperger looks like He Beaver in Narnia. HAHAHAHA

Expect more exciting games coming up. I will watch both games for tomorrow morning. I want France and Netherlands to go through from Grp C, simply because I can't stand the blardey italians. Heh anyway, who knows, Romania might sneak in stealth! I once supported Romania when Georghe Hagi and Dan Petrescu are in the team, then all hell break loose when they turn peroxideeeeeeeeeeeeeeee...

p/s: Is it just me or are there so many diving incidents already?

Congratulatory note.

My best friend got hitched over the weekend!

A bit of an emotional topsy turvy for me. I mean we sorta grew up together and knew each other too well. It's surreal watching her getting married, the day we have been anticipating for the past 2 years... after all the challenges and brain storming sessions, the wedding was a success.
I can't help but beamed with pride looking at the gorgeous bride.

Faresha and Salleh,
Selamat Pengantin Baru!
I wish for everlasting matrimonial bliss for the both you and be blessed with cute kids in the future. I can't say enough, how happy I am for the both of you, for realising your dreams and embarking on this new chapter of your lives.
Enjoy your honeymoon ok, I'm sure you'll have tons of fun!

Anyway, I've gained a friend, who is a fellow gooner ... so all is GOLD =D. Must make sure he influence my best friend enough for her to know, who's who in the gunners starting eleven eh.

p/s: I swear I'm gonna turn your kids into Arsenal fanatics as soon as they can utter "footie".

pp/s: I've always said that I'm not much of a writer, it seems that I am equally hopeless in my PR skills. Blah!
