Pre birthday was a nail biting affair as I watched my beloved gunners wrestled to the ground. I think Rovers was short of taking out parangs to chopped off the gunners legs. I am disgusted by the style of play from the opposition, their unethical SAVAGE(hahaha!) mentality. Football was the furthest thing of their mind that night. And after all that painful knocks the outfield players had to endure, we saw lehmann doing his clown antics yet again. Please lah, benched him lah. JUST BENCHED HIM lah, ARSENE!
Aleks, pls SHOOT. Damnit!
Positives to be drawn from this game, we were equal to the physical challenges. Even if we were made up of bantamweight/midgets. The spirit is healthy. :)
But this is an Arsenal side much less intimidated by the physical nature of some of their rivals than previous models. In Kolo Touré they have a centre half as likely to give a good, old-fashioned shoulder charge as Nelsen.
If anyone could be accused of wimpish tendencies it was Savage, Blackburn's tumbler-in-chief, who threw back his head in mock horror when Wiley booked him
after he had clipped the heels of a disappearing Fabregas and should have been sent off for diving over the leg of Touré in a comical attempt to win a penalty. - The Independent, UK
