LMAO
Several things that tickles me.
- My brother: What my family and I still can't quite comprehend is how my quiet brother has grown up to be quite a joker. We don't know where he get his funny bones from but the queer bit abt it he only lets out this joker persona in immediate family company or some of our closer cousins.
- Arseblogger: No doubt, I read his blog almost everyday, no neccesarily agreeing to everything BUT I like the way he delivers sad news in a crazy funny way.
- Sheldon Mopes: I can watch this 3865825 times and still thinks it's funny.
- Bujang Lapoks Classic: I think everyone else will agree with me, you can never go wrong with this one.
- Sugar: When high on sugar, I do a giggle-a-minute. According to my friends
- Pipi's mum: Her mom has got to be one of the humorous ladies I known.

On various front.
Hari Raya: I am done and over with it. I had fun while it lasted. Nothing to reflect upon, cos seriously it's a bit monotonous for me, every year is same ol' same ol'. Accumulate mistakes through out the year and seek forgiveness for the entire month. Bleargh! Here's to the next Ramadhan.
Arsenal: *wakes up from deep slumber* Welcome back, you wounded soldiers! Internationals games are similar to seeing your family members going for war (Not that I have experienced that, but I think I can simulate the feelings after the number of war movies I watched thus far)...let's count the number of war casualities we have suffered.
Food: Mango Sago from Dessert Hut is the works!
Global Recession: Pay Cuts seems imminent.
Shopping: There's loads of SALES lately and it's not even GSS.
Enviroment: I've imposed a rule of 3 days a week sleeping without air-con.
Money: As per my point above, a 20% percent increase on the utilities bill is quite a bit.
Transport: NinaBuay, increase like nobody's business! Cut down on cabs and buses. Walk! if have to. Best is to hibernate at home.
Work: I have tons of researching and things to do but I rather compose a blog entry. Eeeps! A meeting on monday morning...

Tough lessons in life.
I lost my wallet last friday.
Apart from the neccesary cards, I had $200+ of cash in it.
As you can tell, I am quite affected because Syawal is around the corner and the money was meant for someone and the rest of it is not mine but to be paid for something. I think of all the hassle of having to re-do all the cards.
The wallet was only over a month old, a birthday gift from my best friend.
After the iftar meet up. I took long time to get home. I took an hour to walk home when usually I need a quarter of that to reach home.
I know it is my fault for being careless. I really start to wonder if 'CARELESS' is my middle name. I emotionally kicked myself for being so foolish and grew sadder as I contemplate why such fate befall on me as I hold in high esteem of not taking what is not mine but my sensible thoughts (yah right!) starts to set in and i figured the world doesn't work that way.
There some things that I meant to do, which I never got around to do, due to reasons I myself can't explain! I deserved this wake up call as I did not carry out my intentions when I should have done and no matter how upsetting it was. I felt I throughly deserved it. And if there was nothing uncovered. Things are never meant to be.
Arsenal has to top up my misery by putting up a lackadaisacal display. Needless lost and 3 points lost.
Update: I found my wallet. The librarian found it actually. Alhamdullilah.

Heroic Rendevous.
Gosh! The weekend went by so fast. I still haven't get down to completing my checklist.
My room is a pig sty complete with cobwebs and 1cm thick of dust. I really have no idea when is a good time to get down and scrub the entire room when I'm still stuck with neverending wardrobe sorting.
What a pleasant football week! The earlier game was kinda exciting and Pool won, this has to be the long awaited win over United by Rafa. We won 4-0, impressive I must say by looking at the scoreline but Blackburn is clearly a pale shadow of their thugsy selves. I thought we did well, an early goal help to settle the nerves. I still think Ade is fucking lazy but he scores 3 goals. So I am not going to complain but I just hate the fact that we started singing his song the moment he scores. pfft.

Why does it always rain on me?
Xabi Alonso did not come to the Grove.
AW is sticking to this current team.
It would be nice to have someone who strikes fear in the hearts of opponents in the middle of the field.
Arsene, you will need a full metal alchemist to partner Cesc lah.
We all know how horrifiying can be without Cesc.

I wonder...
The short time span or is it me? but I can't help feeling the time between this Ramadhan and the last seems like a very short time. I was very ill prepared for this Ramadhan... ermm, I normally embraced it with much gusto (ie. mad housekeeping rampage, overzealous planning of iftar dates throughout the Ramadhan). As I lay on my bed pondering (when I really should be terawikh-ing) what should I do to make this Ramadhan a better Ramadhan than the previous one. I know I have been slacking in terms of ibadah and last year's was particularly the worst of the last few Ramadhans I had.
Anyway, it's still not too late to make it a good Ramadhan. I hope to complete what I set for myself. And may Allah grant me the strength and resolute I need to fulfill my target. Insya Allah. Amiin.
To all,
Selamat Maju Jaya sambil menunaikan ibadah puasa. :p
*zap*
On Arsenal front.
I think we need a cover. Some sort of cover.

Heh, nice number eh?
Had cake for breakfast yesterday, no thanks to that someone who shouted "It's Ismiati's Birthday today!"... tsk tsk tsk... i was trying to stay incognito ya'll.
Anyway, I had a pleasant birthday lunch with my colleagues. The sweetest bunch of folks I've met. I stuffed myself silly and to top it all up, I even had 2 ice cream sundaes to finish!
My birthday dinner was with Kakak Yanni, she make me choose my present (which I heart very much!*sniffs it* THANKS!*hugs*) and gave me a treat at ayam Ojolali. Hah simple affair kan... we wanted to have black pepper stingray at Fish & Co. but it's sold out and I don't want anything else on the menu.
I decided to skip the dessert/cake part of the dinner cos I had too much of them during lunch and I rather we wait for Azmi as well and go crazy with the goodies. HAKHAKHAKHA
I dragged Kakak Yanni to Mustafa to meet up with my parents and we all head home. Yeay! Will be having birthday treat with my family on friday instead, to celebrate the Dad's.
To all the birthday wishes : Thank you so much! I appreciate it. My birthday may be over but presents receiving is still not over yet, so keep them coming in... hahaha.. shameless, I know!

No time to day dream...
As I was rushing through my work. I took a long look at my Calendar and then at my Arsenal wallpaper. Clearly, zoning out.
I recapped Clichy and Nasri hugging each other after the weekend's game and I daydreamed of them overlapping runs together with Martin's strong voice saying "Arsenal left side has the lethal quality to break down any defence".
And I smiled wide. WIDER...before I realised I still haven't finished with my website! Arrgh!
I've got an offline msg today from a friend with a msg "Arsenal not that fantastic leh"
Refusing to go on a full rebuttal, I replied "Some of you will never understand..."
I feel more at ease now, just enjoying as it goes cos it's still early in the season.

My wishlist.
In recent years, I have mellowed down my sheer shamelessness by stop publicizing my birthday as much as I usually do. I normally requests specific present from my closest friends and that's that. I prefer it that way, as I get what I want/need.
Anyway, in light of current gloomy mode and a more challenging birthday coming ahead.
I present you my wishlist:
Anyway, in light of current gloomy mode and a more challenging birthday coming ahead.
I present you my wishlist:
- I need a new watch. Yes, I need a new brown leather watch, to stop me from borrowing my bro's. I don't mind an IWC, really!
- Strange Days on Planet Earth DVD
A new wallet cos someone says that it looks like a Nasi Lemak wrapper, anyway that someone will most probably be getting me a new one.- Boots. I need proper cool boots.
A new pair of Birks.- Chuck Taylors, black ones please!
A really good book (Sorry! Too many titles to list)A new copy of 'Fever Pitch'.Lost mine!LOTR DVDs cos I loaned my old ones to an ex colleague and I've never see them again!- A new pair of speckies.
Here's hoping that I save enough moolahs to get most things listed before my next birthday.

I don't mind...
if Xabi Alonso were to join Arsenal.
I think he has what it takes to complete the Arsenal midfield, partnering Cesc and the ability to assimilate into the Arsenal's style. I like his passing range and yeap he can tackle and do long range shooting.
But, his $18M might be a deterrent factor and he'll be atypical Wenger's signing.
If we can't get our hands on Xabi, please let SONG be the partner for Cesc. Pls Pls Pls!
I don't mind Denilson but he'll be behind Song in terms of pecking order. And I will never let Diaby anywhere near the first team until he learns how to tackle properly and doesn't take 1826498873467 years before passing the ball or rather develop some sort of brain mechanism to understand WHEN to pass the ball and WHEN keep it. Selfish players ranked high in my pet peeves list. I find anyone that refuses to pass, when their team mates are in better positions and do it as their last resort are numbskulls, who does not understand the very concept of playing football. If you are so into individualistic trick pony skillz, try picking up tennis or badminton because football is a TEAM sport. READ THIS: TEAM SPORT. You work as a blardey team. Please note how frustrating for it for your team mates screaming for the ball when they run into better positions, when you obviously being a donkey, tries to squeeze your way between 2 towering blocks. Please do not FOOL yourself into a falsified grandeur of being the next Diego Maradona or Pele, we're not in 1986 ya'll!
Rarrgh!

Auld Lang Syne
My Cutestfren intern finally reached the last day of her internship at my workplace, she left last Friday. The room has gotten considerably quieter and I can't seem to find anyone else to get away and have a chat with. I miss bullying her and I guess no more 'HAPPY' meals for lunch. :(
Anyway,
I know this is too early to say but all looks pretty bleak in various front.

When the day comes
for Cesc to leave Arsenal. Let him leave in a respectable fashion.
Pls do not be another cunt like Hleb is right now.
I liked him when the chips are down, when ppl were questioning his stature, his contribution, his reluctance to shoot or his erratic form. And he turned out to be a grade 1 cunt. sheesh!
I was watching the ADIDAS advert when Mourinho mentioned towards end of the commercial, "If anyone in the game...dream to be a top player, but I think it's more important to be a top man"... How I wish I could send that video to Hleb with the neccessary keywords magnified.
Anyway,
I can't wait for the new season, nevermind that our current squad may be as thin and waif as kleenex tissue paper. Play with your hearts, boys. Rest assured, it will be much appreciated...
I don't want a MAJOR signings, I want more of Sagna(s) and Eduardo(s). Dream signings. Less noise, big impact.
For the longest time, I've missed Pires. I still think Arsenal lacked that unassuming (in a good way) persona when Pires left. I hope the new signings filled us in on where we lacked. And more rebound goals ala Pires pls! Thanksverymuch!

We're on sale.
Although, I never quite understood about his displays. Lackadaisacal at times, yet silently effective on his better days and inspirational in some. You can't fault the man to have a pleasant character and his highly professional attitude. None of that moaning groaning.
Gdbye Gilbs! We will miss your 'zen' on the pitch!
OMG! I feel like we're having a garage sale of sorts.

Belarussian Fox no more!
I seriously would have been slightly sadden if he had not cause the needless media circus noise and lame excuses but anyway he was a joy on his best days.
Arsene,
ROQUE pls! *grins*

Make Cesc Captain!
I was reading Arseblog and I could weep when I imagine Cesc lifting up the trophies Arsenal are going to win. I think there is no questioning his dedication and commitment right now.
I am launching an unofficial Make Cesc the Captain Campaign, something I feel strongly about. And if any obscure reader wants to be part of this cause. Drop me a comment. I will send a BIG ASS Badge for you to wear everyday. :)

Congratulations La Furia Roja!
I felt so happy for Cesc, I think my chest could burst!
I was VERY gutted when he got substituted, wouldn't you when you see that crestfallen look? I thought he was marked out of the match but he created space for his other midfielders to exploit. Even then he did made a few defence splitting passes...
So, I got really pissed cos I wanted to see more goals, that are Cesc's inspired ones. I believe he could have made that impact. Alas, that was not to happen.
I'm just glad Spain won. I wouldn't want another Cesc's crying episode and they truly deserved it this time, Spain has grown strength to strength. Kudos to their defence for working as a solid unit as the competition progresses. This has been one of the best euro cup finals.
As for Cesc, this has been his 2nd major cup tournament for his country and at 21 years of age. I believe there's more to go :)
Sometimes, we forgot how young he is, cos he seems to be playing for Arsenal since forever. And that matured displays doesn't help either. This morning as my entire family witnessed the Spain's celebration, as we watch Cesc prancing about like a human jumping bean. My mom remarked that he is still a boy despite all that jazz.
Lastly,
Happy 24th Birthday Hey Nostradamus!
And wow, what a celebration Spain has gotten for you as a present. I believe it's their way of repaying for sticking your neck out prior to the tournament predicting them as winners.
I've read what happened over there, I hope it clears out soon and the truth prevails.
Speak to you soon!
